2023 Electric Bike Race Series

Ogemaw Sport and Trail Center’s 2023 Electric Bike Race Series

Get ready for an electrifying off-road experience at Ogemaw Sport and Trail Center (OSTC) in Rose City, Michigan, as they proudly present their 2023 Electric Bike Race Series! This exciting event features four thrilling rounds of eBike racing, with each race set on a unique course, designed to challenge and exhilarate riders of all skill levels. Gather your friends and family for a high-energy, unforgettable adventure at OSTC.

2023 Electric Bike Race Series Schedule

  • Round One: June 10
  • Round Two: July 15
  • Round Three: August 5
  • Round Four: September 23

Event Details

Sign up for the races from 2:00 to 3:30 PM on the day of each event.   The races will officially start at 4:00 PM, with riders competing for trophies, prizes, and, of course, bragging rights!

OSTC Emtb rules

  • General
      1. Racer age: Racer age is determined by day of event, however racers are not required to move up a division if competing in the younger division in previous rounds
      2. Class requirement:classes  are determined by skill level,age and bike size 
      3. Weather: Races will be held even upon inclement weather but course may see adjustments day of event due to weather
      4. Medical Insurance: Medical insurance is not provided to racers by OSTC in the Emtb series, Medical insurance is the sole responsibility of the racer and we encourage you not to compete without it
  • Bike Eligibility 
      1. Class 1 bikes: Pedal Assist Bicycles with an electric motor Peak Power of <=750 watts that provides motor assistance only when the racer is pedaling and only up to a speed of 20 mph
      2. Class 2 bikes: Class 2 Ebikes are ones that can be propelled without pedaling up to 20 mph <=750 watts
      3. Class 3 Bikes: Class 3 EBike motors are limited to 750 watts, and speed up to 28 mph and no throttle control
      4. Class 4 Bikes: Class 4 Ebikes have a nominal motor output of above 750 watts 
  • Equipment standards
      1. Full face helmets and close toe shoes are required all other safety gear is recommended
      2. Numbers are required on front of bike or back of shirt and must be easily readable 
      3. Headlights are Required
      4. Bike may be inspected by officials at any time prior to, during or after event
  • Race Procedure
      1. Racers will take off one at a time with 30 second intervals in between racers
      2. The racing format will be two runs at two laps apiece
      3. Your best run time will be the time taken into account for scoring
  • Class List
    1. Youth 4-11 stacyc
    2. 750> watts novice, advanced, Senior (50+)
    3. 1000> watts novice, advanced, Senior (50+)
    4. 1500> watts novice, advanced, Senior (50+)
    5. 2000< watts novice, advanced, Senior (50+)
    6. MTB novice, advanced, Senior (50+)

Event Details

Sign up for the races from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on the day of each event. Practice sessions will begin at 3:00 PM, giving riders the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the course and fine-tune their strategies. The races will officially start at 5:00 PM, with riders competing for trophies, prizes, and, of course, bragging rights!

Ogemaw Sport & Trail Center is a motocross, bicycle and quad friendly campground, with motocross tracks, and pedal assist mountain bike trails and tracks for all levels of bike riders. New to 2023, we have electric bike rentals.

Action Sports Legends Pastrana and Whitmore Make a Splash at OSTC

Ogemaw Sport and Trail Center (OSTC) recently had the honor of hosting two legends in the action sports world – Travis Pastrana and Blake “Bilko” Williams. As renowned professional motocross riders and freestyle icons, their visit to OSTC brought an unparalleled level of excitement and inspiration to the off-road community in Rose City, Michigan.

During their time at OSTC, Pastrana and Whitmore showcased their incredible skills on our motocross track, delighting fans and fellow riders with their jaw-dropping jumps, gravity-defying stunts, and razor-sharp precision. Their display of talent and passion for the sport captivated all who witnessed their exhilarating performances.

Pastrana and Whitmore also took the time to interact with fans, signing autographs, and sharing stories from their illustrious careers. Their genuine enthusiasm for off-road riding and dedication to pushing the limits of the sport left a lasting impact on the OSTC community.

Their visit was an unforgettable experience that inspired riders of all ages and skill levels to pursue their passion for motocross and off-road adventures.
